When u r coming out from theater, cant speak anything, cant think anything, just walking to your vehicle parked in the basement parking, sitting in the driving seat and starting the car.
Tthe characters of the movie, situations shown on the movie are roaring in yur mind and u r unable to eawily come out of that.
Mumbai meri jaan.(this is to be called as an art movie) an excellent tale of the true story with different perspective thru different characters and the impact of bomb blast in their individual life.
Director Nishikanth Kamat has read individual’s mind during after the blasting and has shown excellently in the movie.
An effect of the blast to the different people, an effect of the blast on their psychology and so on their thinking process, belief and behaviour. an employee who always prefers to go from the train(R.Madhvan-in this movie). hesitates to even touch the train after blasting even at one of the most crucial time of his life.
An un employed educated man(K.K.Menon- in this movie) starts doubting every muslim person after the blast and starts investigating by himself for the terrorist. even not accepting a good business deal as the opposite party was muslim.
A corrupt policeman(Paresh raval- in the movie) realises that he has not done his job politely as he has not arrested a single terrorist after the blast and a polite, aggrassive ploceman who everytime believes to do his job in right way, changes his way by sacrifising.
A journalist(Soha Ali Khan- in the movie) who covers the blast story and finds emotional moments and interviews in her "breaking news" agenda, comes to know that his lover, to whome she was going to marry soon , was died in the blasts. the story doesnt end here. she is called to give an "exclusive" interview in which all the emotional moments were included as a part of "today’s so called BREAKING NEWS".
Finally a poor south indian(Irfaan khan-in the movie) who earns his money from his small tea stall, is insulted and thrown out by the super mall security because he was poor. to take revenge, he starts putting fake phone calls to the police regarding implanting the bombs in the mall and satisfies by seeing sweat drops on the forhead of the mall security.
At the end. "Time is the best medicine", each person realises their mistakes and puts aside their own hypothesies.
coming to the directional part. this is the part one should look at after lookin at the individual acting performence(acting comes first in the movie). u ll feel the art movie touch in thisfilm. specially in soha ali khan sequence. due to moving camers at some places, the movie looks very realistic .excellent direction throughout the movie.
Coming to theplot, even though it is based on the true story, the plot matters much. this movie tell about the aftershock of the blasts. different situations and circumptences can be called as "heart of the movie" When u r having stars like K.K.M, Irfan khan, Paresh raval, Soha, and Madhvan, no need to say much.(bas naam hi kaafi hai.) each and every artist has proved himself in the movie. thats all. ** overall, a very good movie with lots of emotion, lots of reality and lots of lessons. worth watching.
