What's Happening To Our World?

I was vacationing on Christmas Island, (a Territory of Australia), when the tsunami happened.

Luckily the tidal wave that hit India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka didn’t come our way.

Because this is an Indian owned site I offered the owners a deal. If they would let me redeem my points they could donate it in MouthShuts name to the Indian Disaster Fund. I was told they would think about it. The points haven’t been redeemed and my good intentions have cob webs on it.

That day the center of the earth shook and it shook again one month later when Alaska had an earthquake.

How many times will it take for this shaking to turn the World upside down again, like what happened when the Ice Age happened?

The other day a monsoon hit India. Over 208 millomerers on rain fell and thousands of people were evacutated if they lived near the Krishna River that is east of Mumbati. Other places are flooding as well. Dead cows are floating through the streets. I’m sure you know what happened better than I do. Once again I offered my MouthShut points to help the people who need it. I haven’t heard back so I presume the answer is no!

I hope and pray the blackouts will stop and the water will become drinkable. I hope no one catchs hepatisis, jauntas or malaria.

We can’t live in the past but we can do something about it in the future.

We can buy cars that run on electricity, make factories clean there emissions and stop polluting the air, we can recycle our garbage so the trees in the rain Forrest will not be lost and help us clean up our air.

You can buy a neat little machine that tells you when there will be a change in the climate.

Designer Weather Station

There were a few other weather station, like Sharper Image. We bought a Designer Weather Station made by the Oregon Scientific Company, so we don’t have to rely on anyone.

They have 3 designs and we bought the smallest one, (the Meteo Dialogue BAR 998HGN-K), that was available at London Drug’s electrical department. This one is oblong and surrounded by a black rubber casing. It stands on a short flat base. The screen is flat and it has a blue backlit LCD screen. When we opened the box it came in it was assembled and came with a small instruction book. It doesn’t need a cable and we have put it on a ledge by our patio door.

There is a remote thermo hydro sensor, that has a transmission range of 70 meters). This gives us all of that essential weather forecasting data in graphic form.

The weather is indicated by an easy to read because there are animated symbols, ( sun, clouds etc.), and is shown center screen, with all of the information on thr temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and trends etc. displayed around it.

This model is programed to react to human voices. We ask it to show us the time, weather and alarm status information. We once had a battery clock that only showed us the time when we clapped so the basic technology isn’t new, it’s just better.

There is a Heat Index indication, frost free Radio/ Alarm Clock(automatically controlled by a MSF radio signal), so it never needs adjusting).

We have owned this for 2 months and we haven’t had to change any batteries. I imagine that is because we only voice activate it twice a day.

We live in the middle of a garden in a rain forrest. On normal days when we are going out we now can check on what the weather will be like at noon. Before we bought this gaget we didn’t know what to wear and now we do. With the pigment in my skin turning white, and my husbands few boughts of skin cancer I am happy this gadget has a UV measurement sensor.

It was on sale for$50.00 CAD, and it was worth every penny.

I wrote about the Designer Weather Station because each of us must try and take care of our selves.

I’m praying for all who live where this tragedy took place.*

  • The rating for the Moonsoon is one * and the rating for the machine is 5
