26th is proving to be a disaster day. Gujarat earthquake, killer tsunami and now its Mumbai rains.
On 26th July, 2005 till 9.30 a.m. there was not much rain, starts after that and at 10.00 a.m. it was pouring heavily. I had to go for the work in Thane . so I decided to go.at 12.30 p.m. when I was out after finishing my work, still it was raining heavily.while travelling I was totally wet. decided to back home.at 3.30 electricity went off.at 4.00 p.m. when I came out my building, the road from my building to vrindavan and shrirang society(nearly 1 1/2 km) was fully under water. water was waist high.some spot it was upto neck. still peoples were trying to reach homes. some peoples were helping them with ropes. in the evening they used boats to rescue peoples.
For next 2 days, we dont know what was happening around mumbai and rest of maharashtra. no newspaper, no electricity, no water, no mobile network, no telephones. In my lifetime, I never saw Mumbai was soooooooo paralysed.
No Governance
No governance in the city for those 3 days.politicians, police, firebrigades all were Gayab. nobody helped mumbaikar.when mumbai down under six feet, they were safe in their den in south mumbai. They all came out when everything is over.only peoples helped peoples. appealing all maharashtra ppls not to vote for Congress and NCP in next election as they showed their back to us when we were in trouble.
Sea of Humanity
Mumbai’s eastern and western express highways saw karva of lacs & lacs of commuters walking Home for 2 days.Mumbaikars who are living alongside of these highways were in trouble, but still they helped walking commutters with water, tea, food.
Ganesh Naidu and his 3 friends saved life of 250 passengers who trapped in BEST bus in Kalina.they used ropes to rescue the passengers.
Vinod Punna & his friend Bharat saved lives of many passengers who trapped in BEST bus in Kurla, but in process they lost their own lives.
Rajesh Bhanushali saved lives of 150 peoples in Vitthalwadi, he resued them using ropes, but lastly the rope was broken and he lost his own life.
Filmactor Zyed Khan saved lives of 4 peoples. He is a real life Hero
Nature says’all are equal’

Nature tought us a lesson that all are equal. on 26th July, from Rich to poor crorepati to zopadpattiwalla, Corporate boss to peon, Mercedezewalla to bikewalla, everybody walk down the highways to reach their home.
Mumbai Mayer Datta Dalvi walked 5 hours to reach home.
Filmactors John Abrahem and Aftab Shivdasani rescued by mumbaikars in Bandra. left their respective mercedeze in water. they travelled in Bus to reach home. even their tickets were drawn by Mumbaikars as they not possessed money at that time.
Mumbai Tiger Shivsenapramukh Balasaheb Thackrey moved from his residence Matoshri by a boat.
