When the two kings of the industry get together, its nothing but pure bliss and its no different in Mumbai Xpress. Well, Im talking about Kamal and Isaignani Ilaiyaraja.. Man these kings rock !!
A simple story and great screenplay make this movie an truly enjoyable one... The soundtrack of the movie is excellent and goes along with the mood of the movie... The music is simply pure bliss... what else does one expect from the Raja... You will be extremely disappointed if you are looking for regular masala of the likes of Rajani and Vijay... No build up song ... no crap..
The music is clean and all based on Jazz.... The Raja proves why he is one.. The songs are different and completey unpredictable compared to the noise churned out by the music directors imported from Telugu and otherwise movie after movie.. this track Poo Poothadhu is a simply superb melody which is set to linger in your mind for a long time to come.... Long Live Raja....
For all you Bollywood fans.. this is not for you... please dont be dissappointed for the lack of khan crap... no 100 dancers in skimpy clothes with remixed music that will make you deaf.. this is not the king khan but the Emperor Kamal....
Dont expect meadows in foriegn lands that you falsely think will soothe your eyes.. not to forget... no going in circles around trees or wet dance sequences in a disc... if you want to look at the real Mumbai.. then you may want to watch this movie...
I dont think you will like the music either since you are immune to simple, plain, good music... Kamal makes the whole Bollywood eat humble pie with his unmatched histrionics... Bollywood open your ears and eyes, but keep ur dumb mouths shut and learn a few lessons before you churn out another movie whacked out or 4 or 5 Hollywood and South Indian flicks.... and as for you Bollywood audiences.....
I really wonder when you will alter your currently filthy taste....
