But, unfortunately I can only wish...Sunjay Dutt is lucky..he got the chance to play the reel role atleast. And I dont think anyone else could have played it better. Excellent performance!!
Not to say...the movie is really very nice. I am a lover of good stories and the treatment with the script in this movie is just perfect. A nice simple fictious story of a living man, who cures people with heart. I have not read other reviews but, I think, someone would have definitely discussed the story in detail. This story is Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in real sense. The emotions have been so perfectly intermingled that its just unanalysable. I could only feel it. And, I am writing what I felt. I felt extremely happy one moment, and the other moment I felt sad for the sufferings in general. Munnabhai was not even dying and even then he was living life kingsize, just as if Kal Ho Naa Ho. He was helping people without actually ever realising how nice he was. This is what is called a simple character. He never tried changing the lives of people. He just tried moderating situations in his own rash ways (courtesy the fiction). And, that is why he was instantly lovable. No one can deliberately change life of even oneself, forget about someone else. Though, accidently he changed the life of a guy and very correct for the story to have been narrated by that guy!
When talking of story how can direction be left far behind? Kudos for the director, he has given life to the characters. The tapory lingo used by Sunjay and Arshad is well researched and implemented. Inclusion of one liners in the movie is also just about perfect. BTW the oneliners are extremely funny, specially the ones spoken by Arshad Warsi. Boman Iranis character is also well sculpted. And, he has played it really well. Boman is such a nice actor. Why was he not acting b4? Most importantly, the director has been able to sustain the feel of the movie from the begining to the end. It never looked as if I was watching many movies (stories) together. Central theme was intact throughout.
Last but not the least....acting is great. Actually, there was plenty of scope for everybody to perform. I think the message to the cast was sound and clear, U people are having the ball of your life, so just enjoy yourself. And, Sunjay Dutt did it the best, followed by Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. Sunjay was able to portray the innocence of the character almost effortlessly. Arshad supported him real well. And could there have been a funnier villian than Boman? Laughter therapy portrayed by Boman deserves special applause. Sunil Dutt was looking refreshing. Gracy Singh was also well behaved. Supporting cast was also good, especially the one who played the character of Rustam.
Ohh...I forgot about songs. Well...songs were good but not the highlight of this movie. Two songs Munnabhai MBBS and Dil Gaye Kyon are hummable. Good thing is that they appear at right times.
All in all movie is very good. If you have not seen it till now, then keep it next on your agenda (if you feel like enjoying sometimes!!!).
