I OWE YOU A HERNIA
Dr.Saldhana operates upon Abbas Bhai’s Hernia before going
back to Dubai, Abbas Bhai says I owe you a Hernia. So if you
ever need to ice anybody remember me, this is a promise dear
to Dr.Saldhana. He is Dean of Medical College.
Sanjay Dutt, is a common blackmailer , who is in extortion business
but during the annual visit of his parents from the Village to Bombay
He acts as a Doctor to make his parents feel proud of him, he
converts his hideout into a Charitable Hospital, All the staff and
the Patients are his assistant Thugs.
One such visit (Sunil Dutt) The thug’s father meets Dr.Saldana who
used to work in their Village Hospital long ago and they meet over
Chai (Tea) talking about their families, Dr.Saldana is surprised
to hear Munna is a Doctor in Bombay and the father came to visit
him.
(My Mother we call her mater, she found mates for all my 4 sisters)
So both the fathers act as maters for their children (Boman Irani)
Dr.Saldana has a daughter (Gracy Singh) (Good looking Girl) who is
a real Doctor and the Thug’s Father wants his supposed Doctor
son to go see and get engaged.
Dr.Saldana comes to know from his housemaid about Munna is not
a Doctor but a Bhai means a Thug, Ruffian, Blackmailer ( I used to
recite a poem in school all indians are my Bhai and Bahen) I did
not know then, BHAI will mean a thug in future India.
Saldana is enraged and insults the Parents and the Thug and kicks
them out of his house. Munna Bhai to teach a lesson to the Dean
of Medical College and his doctor daughter gets himself admitted
in to MBBS Course, with forged documents. This is the title of the
film.
Legally Blonde (Reese Witherspoon) remember it !! This story is
inspired from MUNNABHAI MBBS , anyway a person with peculiar
mannerism is pushed thru circumstances in a stuffy atmosphere how
things look from both prespectives is very enjoyable.
What Bill Gates did attending Board of Directors meetings wearing
T-Shirts and Jeans with simple sandles.
My 5 Year old daughter sees this movie all alone, everytime she
goes missing in the house, We find here in the T.V.Room with
CD Player on watching MUNNABHAI MBBS.
I asked her when we were sitting alone in Country House
watching HENS What makes you choose that movie from many
other funny movies, mind you, I am very pally with her and we
share many of our thoughts like mature adults on many subjects.
She said she likes seeing MunnaBhai in College
He does not look like a College Person.
This is the most simple answer this movie can be described in , its the
credit to its creators, the whole unit, the dialogue writer (Abbas Tyrewala)
and everyone, even the HouseMaid of Dr.Saldana performed
outstandingly in this movie.
