Munnar Place to Enjoy..

I went last year to Munnar with my office guys. This was the first time I went to kerala Gods own land.

We as a group of 4 people booked a MaxiCab from Madurai..we started in the morning in Madurai and reached Munnar by 4 in the evening because we stoped in many places to have breakfast, lunch. When we came near Bodimettu a place where the tamilnadu border ends and Kerala starts. That was on the top of the hill climate got totally changed it is cool, greenish on both sides of the road.We are enjoying the climate. We stopped many times in the journey to take snaps as we know that if we miss a location in that climate we can not have it again.

When we landed in Munnar we stared searching for good room to stay. Finally we got a room with a lake view and near to hotels .We got it for 500 bucks for one day which is very cheap in that area with good facilities like 24hrs hot water, laundry.

The next day we had tiffins in the morning and one sad thing is it is hard to find good veg food. Then we went to a Dam where we can a have speed boating where we can see Elephants(if fortunate)on the banks, then went to echo point and to lake we had boating for a hour. The next day we went to see Niligiri Boar (special goat found in that area only) and we were fortunate to get a view of them (we waited for around 3 hours but you dont get bored because you will be enjoying the climate). Then in the evening we went for massage center , who claim to be the best in that place.I spent around 600 bucks for massage with steam bath.We will get good sleep after the massage.

Here in hotels they only serve hot water.

The next day we had to move back to madurai.the journey back to Madurai was adventurous for us because it was raining heavily that place we had to through all the hair pin bends etc .we were not able to see anything coming infront of us.On above all the train starts at 9 in the night(journey from Munnar takes around 10 hrs to Madurai). We were lucky that our driver was an experinced person so we were able to catch the train in time and safely.

In munnar we can enjoy

1)Tea estates

2)Climate

3)Not so crowed

4)Boating

5)You can buy good tea, medicinal herbs etc.

Things to be taken care

1)Cautious while taking food

2)If you want to visit all places you should have atleast one week leave.

3)we need to do a lot of travelling that eats up your time.

and atlast I can say this one of the best honeymoon spots in south india.(because I see only paired people all along my trip.)
