Theres been huge fanfare over the the music in murder, in particular, one song which everybody seems to like</IBHEEGEY hont>. They call it intoxicating and rain-kissed; Ive heard it, Ive liked it and Ive failed to realise what all the excitement is about. Dont get me wrong, its good, but its definitely, in my opinion {and I hope that no one gets mad because of this contradiction} over-rated.
Personally, I feel that the song Kaho na Kaho deserves higher credit than Bheegey Hont, while {and this might be solely in Canada}, people, after listening to the soundtrack are in awe of bheegey hont and fail to even mention kaho na kaho. I think amir jamal did a truly fabulous job with the song and his voice suits the song to perfection. The arabic lyrics injected into the middle of the song give it, in my mind, more richness. The music is a brilliant composition by Anu Malik and the lyrics are out of the world.
It is hard to say whether the song was made for Amir Jamals voice, or the vice-versa. There is a catchy beat in the background, that keeps the listener in tow, while the song brings forth a sense of passion and emotion, that makes listening to this number truly worthwhile.
I think Kaho Na Kaho deserves far more credit than is given to it, and so does Amir Jamal. As for Bheegey Hont, it could do better.
