Description : The story as we all how good Indian cinema is at copying the Hollywood films. Though the film has nice class and style. the character of BILLA has that rich James bond type smooth as classy operator feel. As Sameera there is nothing more to say then “ MAN SHE IS HOT!!! ‘.
Cinematography- Excellent, best of the year so far ...almost of international standard.Story, screenplay & dialogues- the screenplay gets a bit disjointed in the 2nd half but picks up with billas (sanju baba) entrance, gupta & his screen writers tried to dish out something new & they succeed to some extent but the film gets a little talk heavy at times, Dialogues are BRILLIANT, probably the best part of the film...raw & effective.all of them are really fresh out of the box and have a very stammering effect.
Direction-gupta is more of a technician than a director , here he tries hard to combine style & substance & succeeds partially(only partially).The background score gets too heavy at times & make you close your ears while the exaggarated style quotient irritates u now & then, gupta does well but could have done much better with the material on hand.A notch or 2 below Kaante which was more fun or I should say FUN ALL THROUGH, but full marks to the team for attempting such a daring subject.
Performances
Anil- anil gets a meaty role & he dugs his teeth deep into it but still he’s underutilized. But still good work from his side after a LONG time.Though he sould not do roles which make him fag as he cannot fake it. Everyone can makeout the the MAN MOUTH FAGS !!
Sameera- She is the reason hundreds of people watch the movie again and again and again and one of those hundred would be me. This movie Belongs to sameera , she shocks with a very good performance which I wasn’t expecting at all.
Aditya- the most underated & most underused actor in bollywood finally gets something to do & he doesn’t let u down.He was menacing to the hilt & gives a convincing performance.
Mahesh- he’s kamal haasan’s fav. actor & he shows why kamal thinks so, Damn he is MIND BLOWING as a perverted husband.Great going dude , kaante wasn’t a fluke after all and how can we ever forget his movies like Pran Jaye Par Shan Na Jaye .
Sanju BABA- what can I say about this guy ??Nobody I say nobody in bollywood can play a bad boy better than this guy, he evokes terror but still entertains u with those funny 1 liners.Whenever the movie starts sagging he comes to rescue & livens up the audience who cheers for him no ends, any1 who watched this movie in a theatre will endorse my statement.Even with a really short role , he steals the show hands down. And if that is not enough you have his two piece jaw line with OAKS and ARMANI topped with a leather jacket and how can one forget his MEAN FAT HOG (harley). This is one thing that I am sure every body must have admired. I truly confess that I really admire that dude and his style and his class . (please note- I am not gay )
Final verdict-Not as entertaining as kaante but not dull by any means , go for it u wont feel cheated.
