Madonna is one of the few divas to go Electronica in America. The album has three songs which are up to par with her previous albums: 1.Music, 6.Nobody’s Perfect, and 9.Paradise.
1.Music is a clubbing style song. When this song is put through a decent sound system ... the experience is amazing. Why? Because this song is bass heavy and has many techno sounds that perpetuates feelings of ecstasy.
2.Impressive Instant is a valid attempt of trance dance music. A woman is out dancing and is placed into a trance by person dancing. She is in a trance deeply and desires a kiss from the unnamed individual. She sounds as though she feeling much lust.
3.Runaway Lover sounds more like the traditional Madonna. ’’It doesn’t pay to be a runaway lover’’ is saying that with some ambiguity. It does not pay: (1) the emotional impact on the heart, (2) the money lost, and (3) the time lost.
4.I Deserve It is about various lovers. ’’The many roads traveled’’ is just speaking of all the different lovers and situations. She has no regrets of the past ventures because she gave her best efforts to work things out. All the suffering was worth while because of the precious memories gained.
5.Amazing is a happier with a jive alive beat. The lyrics are about a boy who is messing with her head and she sees what is going on but she can not stop her passions.
6.Nobody’s Perfect is a sad beautiful song. The song is very depressing musically and vocally. Musically the song is more than enough to bring you to tears. Vocally the song is powerful enough to cause a virtual breakdown. The song touches base on making many mistakes in the relationship.
7.Don’t Tell Me is happy sounding. The song is saying to do not tell me how to feel. The person who she is with is a control freak.
8.What It Feels Like For A Girl is a girl anthem song. The song is elaborating that you wish you knew what it felt like to be a girl. Describing girls as a sugary treat. Asking ’’Do you know ... what it feels like to be a girl?’’
9.Paradise is a very sad song. [Maybe more proper title would be Paradise Lost.] It is speaking of falling so far down from following another person’s dream. ’’I’ve been so high. I’ve been so down.’’ is where she sounds as though she has fallen far past the point of rock bottom. She sounds as though she is bi-polar. She speaks of her youth as though it was the best time of her life.
10.Gone is a calm, carefree song. She is saying that she is not going to stick around to be hurt again.
