Not a good video player.

Today I’m going to review on MX player, which is mostly used by thousands of Android users. But here are some features which isn’t good for an application.

Concept of the application is good and its layout and design is also kind of user-friendly but when data connection is enable the advertisements are going to show up even when you’re watching videos.

Here’s another limitation of this application which will create problem when we play ’.mkv’ extension files and it will display AC3 not supported error. After showing this error it’ll definitely play the video but you can’t listening any audio because its codec are not supporting MKV extensions files. This will fix by downloading codec manually and it kind of complicated for some users.

And if you swipe your right side on the screen while playing any video it will double up the volume i.e. 100% to 200% but it will damage your phone’s speakers or your ears while you’re listening something on headphones.

So you can download other video players like VLC for Android, this video player has same features as MX player but it can’t show any advertisements when internet is on, it doesn’t double the volume so it will not damage your phone speakers or your ears. And the most amazing thing is that is supports all kind of video extensions and you does not care about any codec. I’d like to add an image of this codec or error but present I’m also using VLC.

Thank you.
