Big Fat Laugh

I really liked My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It had its funny moments. You really feel bad for Tula because they make her look really bad in the movie. She’s not an actress that looks really good even when she’s trying to look bad, but she (at first) is really ugly and you start to pity her.

I didn’t really watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding as a romantic movie, but more of a comedy. My favorite part was when the aunt tells the guys’ parents about herself during the party. I watched that scene about 5 times and my sister and I still laugh about it.

I liked how the characters were portrayed as people with flaws. I can relate to Tula because my family embarasses me sometimes, and I bet a lot of people feel the same. Although it focuses on the Greek culture, I see it more as fitting in in a world where you can’t really fit in.

I admit that it got slow sometimes and the guy isn’t very cute, but I liked how the movie showed how a ’’bad’’ family was actually a really caring family as opposed to a materially rich yet cold family.
