I am extremely proud to write about a movie which I saw in Hallmark channel recently which is called MY LIFE AS A FAIRY TALE consist of 2 Parts.
It shows about the incredible life and career of Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen in this humorous, inspirational tale. Set in 19th-century Europe, the story tells how a shoemaker son Andersen’s remarkable transform from orphan and street urchin to becoming one of the most celebrated storytellers of his time.
The story starts when Hans comes to Napoli from Copenhagen to become an Actor. He goes to an Opera, but seeing his cloths torn he is not allowed. But seeing him Yeta pity on him and invites him to join her family to the Opera.
The Opera singer The Nightingale’Lind also like him and invite him to see her audition. There he try to impress other with him funny acting. He is kicked out but the Queen who laughed of his jokes order him to take a Scholarship so that he can become a Gentle Man.
After 2 years, he started penning his stories which told and publish it as book. His including The Little Matchgirl, Thumbelina, The Princess and the Pea, The Little Mermaid, and The Snow Queen and his The Ugly Duckling was famous all over the world. His love for Lind grew stronger and stronger. But fate stored something for him. She married her friend and manager. And heartbroken Yeta who silently loved him died in a fire accident. Still Hans Christian Andersen wrote more Fairy tales and poems and like a joker who cried inside and made everyone laugh.
Everyone acted very well, especially Kieran Bew as the great legend Hans Christian Andersen, Emily Hamilton as beautiful Yeta who saw herself as Thumbelina, The Little Mermaid and And last Flora Montgomery was the inspiration to Hans Christian Andersen was his Snow Queen and his Nightingale.
My favorite scene is the Nightingale’s dance drama and the scene where everyone read the story of Ugly Duckling, was nice.
Ever thought what would have happened when there is no story teller, how would have been our childhood would be without any fairy story which made us smile and also taught us what is wrong and what is right. I bow to the Writer Hans Christian Andersen who gave us such beautiful stories and poems.
