Saw my name is khan this afternoon. First of all, I would like to mention that this film certainly does live up to the hype and expectations that we all have been feeling. Second, srk-kajols chemistry is beautifully sweet and very cute. Having heard so many times that this is no ddlj, kkhh, etc I actually felt that they had a lot of wonderful romantic moments and overall, their love story was just fantastic! Loved it. Third, karan as a director has proved that he can make any kind of film he wants to make out there! The film kept you glued to the screen scene after scene after scene. I never felt that it dragged, or that some parts couldve been cut off or done without. Overall, in those 2 hours and 40 minutes of film time, everything just seemed so perfect! I just loved loved loved the movie!
Srk as rizwan khan was just spectacular! Superbly amazing. Seriously, i dont think there is any role out there that srk cant pull off. He just keeps getting better and better with each passing film. His portrayal of a person with Aspergers syndrome was just beautiful. His emotions, his walking, everything was just a delight to see. At no point did i feel that oh, its just srk. Woohoo!. Nope, this film was all rizwan khan. Honestly, i dont think any, i repeat, any actor wouldve pulled off this role better than srk himself. Srk was just tooooo good. Beyond brilliance! Magical!
Kajol was just gorgeously beautiful! Loved her role as mandira khan. She was powerfully and emotionally good. She complimented srk very well and her breakdown scenes were especially a treat to watch. Once again, just like srk, i feel that only kajol couldve done full justice to a role like this. I really think that my name is khan wouldve been nothing if not for these two powerful performers!
Supporting characters and everyone else also did a very fine job. I even felt that the extras were also tooo good. They did really well. The 3 songs were incorporated in the film very beautifully and did not slow up the pace of the film. Came at the right places and the right times. Just perfect. Overall, for me, this film was totally perfect and definitely lived upto my expectations.
Just one word for this film: Classic!
Am planning to see this film again with some friends on sun, mon, and tues. Would love to see it repeatedly. I dont think i will ever get enough of this film.
