Why do you need to read this review? You all have your favorite websites already bookmarked. What additional information can I provide?
Please don’t get confused in whats & whys. Maybe some of the following are new to you and some u already know but let me tell something additional about them. JUST READ ON & ENJOY.
So, here it goes:
- turbo10.com – It will search all your favorite search engines and you can view the results separately. Very cool website I may add, maybe u will still prefer google, but what the heck in giving it a try.
You can also have fun on gahooyoogle.com. Do I need to tell that it combines the results of searches on Yahoo & Google on a single page vertically?
download3000.com – You can find all kind of downloads including games, music, players, utilities and what not. What more, most of the downloads are free of cost.
metacafe.com – All kind of video clips are available here. You can have funny, tutorials, action, games, utility, sexy and even 18+ for mature audiences. You can also submit your clips over there and get award money. Maybe someone of us is lucky enough to get paid unlike here on MS(no regrets). Also check games and ringtones available for free on this site.
giveawayoftheday.com – What a website man. You are going to love it and access it once a day. Why is that so, because they give one LICENCED utility software free of cost daily. It is a time barred offer and you have to download and activate this before the time is over. Most of the software will find a use in your day to day work. If not there is always tomorrow(‘s software). These software’s are free wares, add free and fully licensed and range b/w 20-40 USD otherwise.
game.giveawayoftheday.com – Every thing same as above, except that games are given instead of utility softwares.
sify.com/weather – Why is this site finding a place here? That’s because it provide a detailed temperature including weather forecast for next week. You want to read this before planning a trip to an alien location or for being informed before hand on any function, festival or an office trip. It gave quite accurate result to me.
rediff.com/faresearch/index.html – Now this is too much. I posted rediff and not yatra, makemytrip, travelhungama and all airlines websites. There must be a solid ground for this. Yes there is, it searches airlines/ hotels across various travel and airlines websites. Now that’s is powerful search as it combines the results that you can get no where else.
mapmyindia.com – It is better than all yahoo, google and wilkiapia’s for searches in India of cource. It gives road & street wise maps and travel directions in fine detail(zoom). What more, you need not download heavy file like google earth needs, use the site as is and then close. No unnecessary fuss.
google.co.in – You may think why is google so low in the list and why at all. You all know google better than me. Wait and be patient. You can try few tricks other than normal googling.
(i) Type “index of mp3” in google and get the information in index format. Replace mp3 with rar, zip, wmp, jpeg, etc. for further searches.
(ii) use google suggest “https://google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en”. The results are not only suggestive, but you can browse to a better result by looking at the number of websites available
(iii) If you need to do a little adventure, type intitle:"index of" "last modified" games in the google bar and walla, what we have here, free downloadable files. Use mp3, mp4, mpeg, rar, wmp and what not. I am not responsible if it is illegal, can only tell that it works.
- mouthshut.com – A very self contained, highly addictive and informative website. What more can I say, you have already read what I think of this site in my review “Why to be a member on mouthshut?” It appears at last because I know that you are already aware about the usefulness of this website.
Some important EXCLUSIONS that should be mentioned before completion of the review:
(i) yahoomail.com – better than ever with beta updation
(ii) naukri.com – I still get calls for my CV posted and not updated since 1.5 years. Post your CV and get employed, simple as that.
(iii) If you like mature stories, then you may have a look at literotica.com(for mature audience only)
Final words: There may be 1000 websites you come across & want to share. We all at MS are open to hear & experiment just like I have tried. I will update the list as and when I come across good names.
