Update on 31 Dec 2011:
Please avoid at all costs. I was utterly disappointed to see multiple mygrahak employees/stakeholders rating my review as "not useful". Theyre trying to manipulate ratings on Mouthshut. Ill raise this with mouthshut as a formal complaint.
I was introduced to mygrahak.com through Snapdeal. And it was my first purchase from Sanpdeal. I was tempted to purchase the coupon because I believed that finally Ive an option to do a chore online. And of course, the way flipkart have conducted themselves in the market, raised my hopes of a similar experience.
Well, its anything but pleasant. I tried to make my first purchase about a week ago when I created my account on the website. Even though the website is not very friendly, I painstakingly selected my monthly grocery and tried to check out. Now they would just not let me check out. Whatever the reason, I tried to give feedback. The link didnt work both for feedback and customer care. I gave up and decided to give them benefit of doubt.
I tried the same process again after a gap of a couple of days. To my horror, I could not see any of the items that I selected in my shopping back, which meant that I had to go and repeat the painstaking process. I decided to do a pilot and picked up only a few items. But the process repeated itself at the time of checkout. Then I thought may be their website is mis-behaving because Im accessing through latest IE, I decided to do the same process in Mozilla. The results were even worse as I could hardly see any produc images. And of course the check-out didt work.
I decided to give it a final try today without much luck. Website was too slow and wont always update the product selected by me. It crashes and then forgets whatever shopping was done before the crash. So not a very happy experience. Ive managed to access Feedback link and provided the feedback, hoping to get a response. Ill keep updating if anything happens.
It may be a case of launching an underprepared website, but then other reviews tell me that their supply chain is also not in place. And also the product range is very limited and not well organised.
So at best it can be avoided. The user experience anyway is not great even if everything works functionally.
