Veerappan's favourite

For years I have tried the sandalwood variant of almost all soaps and the one that I think comes closest to real sandalwood smell is Mysore Sandal. Doctors advise that one should not change soaps frequently and trust me ever since I have started using this one, not once did I feel like switching to a new brand.

In fact I use the soap as well as Mysore Sandal Talc.Since sandalwood oil is one of the ingredients, even my granny insists on this one!!

I do agree that as compared to other sandalwood soaps this one is a little more expensive but its different as well, as in it does not have a strong artificial smell nor is it a hard rough soap like Rexona, No.1 or Breeze; rather its the feel of skin right after you have had bath using Mysore that makes you want to use it as often as you can. They also have a Mysore Gold variant but I prefer this to every other. It gives a very clean and fresh feeling.

The flip side is that its not meant for dry skin; it tends to make your skin a little drier and even for normal skin, using a moisturiser right after using the soap would be helpful. Not like I like ’’creamy’’ and ’’moisturising’’ Dove kind of soaps anyway! In a nutshell, its a lot cheaper than a genuine sandalwood perfume!!!Fragrance is a lot milder, stays for a longer time and it cleans your skin naturally.Sounds like an ad slogan!!!
