Twice fooled!

This is a renowned shop at Kamraj Road in Mahaveer Mall. As you enter you are very cheerfully greeted by the Store Manager Mr. Sanjay Singh who directs you to the appropriate counter.

From the first floor, that houses their fabric range I bought a Mulmul embroided fabric almost at Rs. 1300 per mt. for the purpose of making a kurta from it. No maintenance and cleaning instructions provided. I washed it at home as I do for all my other mulmul/ cotton kurtas unless prescribed otherwise. The colors from the embroidery threads bled on the cloth and ruined it. As many of you who are aware, colors from emboroidery threads don’t run unless of poor quality(eg. An "Anchor" thread would never!). At the rate I was charged for the fabric it was expected the quality of theads used would be credible.

My call to the store was met with extreme rudeness and an extermely offensive stand from Mr. Sanjay(a stark contrast from his behavior he reserves for his store customers). He went on shouting in the phone from the word go without giving me a chance to speak. I was suggested mild brush painting as a solution that would camoflage the stains. I was shocked to see them charge me Rs. 250 for it but agreed to go ahead to salvage my kurta.

The job of painting was so shoddily done, they had put horrible, thick stripes of unsightly colors which is nothing like what they had shown me by way of an example for brush painting. The kurta is now unwearable. It has been an extremely disappointing experience especially on the after sales front.
