Yogi has two hotels in close vicinity and the one that has this restaurant is in the industrial area of Turbhe. They have a way of coming up with unusual names for their restaurants and at this one, have named it Naans and Noodles in keeping with the Indian and Chinese cuisine that they serve.
They are a small restaurant and may hold less than 40 persons at a time at the tables. They also seem to favour their lunch buffet as we ordered a-la-carte and had to wait long for our food. The menu is simple and straightforward and thus easy to order. It is better to place the entire order at once to forego having to wait for the food to be prepared and served.
The Chakori Kebab is a good starter with beet root giving them a purplish tinge; the kebabs are soft and one portion is enough for four to six persons. We also ordered the vegetable kadai and mirch aur baingan ka salan. As is usual at a Yogi restaurant, both those dishes too were well made. The kadai vegetable was not very spicy and the salan was made with a base of ground coconut. These side dishes go well with their vegetable pulav and assorted Indian breads. We ordered the gajar ka halwa which was made mildly sweet and without much shortening.
Overall, the meal was good and service was good too but for the waiting. We took nearly 2 hours for ordering, getting the food, eating it and paying for it. On the Turbhe side of Navi Mumbai Naans and Noodles is one of the few good dine in restaurants and a good choice. Prices are reasonable though portion sizes are not very big. testy noodles and so many ambience.
