I had purchased a Blackberry 9630 in Dec-2011 from Naaptol as the website showed a good discount on the product. The phone was delivered to my Bangalore address within the stipulated time and as I switched the phone on I saw "Verizon" flash on the startup view and was convinced that this phone was in fact an unlocked / second piece from another country assumable(which was not mentioned on the website by the way) but as long as the phone worked fine I was alright with it.
Just after a week of use the battery was discharging quicker than usual and it became a daily chore to carry the charger everywhere I went. I raised the matter with the customtakeouter care and I was sent a replacement battery and a watch to keep me calm about the fact that they had delivered a “Blackberry Storm battery”(different model) instead! It was good to know that the wrong battery actually fit into the socket but to my surprise this one too developed a problem and was required to be charged at least two times in a day.
Today, I woke up late on a working day only to find out that my alarm did not ring as the phone was completely dead. Even after recharging the phone it refused to start and Im completely disappointed at Naaptol to have put up such a defective product on sale. Just an added note that I did try to fix the phone through an authorized service center in Bangalore for blackberry phones (Reddington) after all hope was lost but was informed that they wouldnt change the parts or replace the handset as this was not a Reddington authorized phone from blackberry.
Ive learnt my lesson not to trust online shopping thanks to this particular site and will always go to an authorized outlet from now on and hope that whoever is reading this does the same or at least knows the website better before spending hard earned money.
