All hill stations are more or less the same…. and their adorer’s reviews too to a large extent. Every one will start with something like this:
“Away from the moribund of city life this place calms your nerves…blah…blah…It is peaceful away from the pollution and everything…”
I Think all hill stations are not the same .I see that every hill station speaks out its feelings when u take the first look at it. Some are very “loud” with pointed snowy caps like kullu manali, some are those “noisy” types who seldom seem like hill stations: that have become really commercialized like simla and some are the “introverts” who keep quiet and speak out what a million words can’t say and here lies Nainital.
A Paradise in the over populated, corrupt, and noisy Uttar Pradesh the place where “koi mil gaya” was shot. I visited this place in winters and you say the name of this place and light, soothing, fresh breezes touch my eyes I am waiting for long. The Naini Lake his not vast and it isn’t those highly imposing types but it still has its own attractiveness. Especially in winters the fog above the lake is just soooooooooo beautiful. The shopping is good. You can look forward to taking many and some very good momentous back home. The candles, which are in so many, shape that it is difficult to come out of these. A banana with its peel elegantly swirling around itself, a dainty lady holding out her hand, various fruits flowers and a lot more varieties of candles can be seen. There are lovely furry jackets and feather shawls. And when you get hot, buttered corn amidst the chilling winds it is just wonderful.
More than materialistic things Nainital is a place from where you can take memories back, which are with you for a lifetime. It may not be very commercialized but all in all it is a soothing place and worth a visit at least.
I hope I have done justice to my review because I think it has more of feelings rather than information;)All the same suggestions are welcome for improvement….J
