Let me confess that this Restaurant situated near the Talaopali aka Thane Chowpatty lured me by its beautiful appearance. I equally enjoyed watching this hotel from outside as well as adored its inner ambience.
I entered the hotel on a rainy day in AUgust. I occupied a table near the Window facing the beautifully lit-up street adjoining the lake. The music was good & the interiors were just perfect for a romantic date... OK...Let me begin on food.
I must admit that this restaurant has beautufully designed & ellaborate Menu Card. It serves its purpose to order some receipes with weird names. I preferred to have a mixed platter of some known receipes & some unknowns.
And boy...the food just ruined the atmosphere created by the lovely views & nice interiors. Red crispy that seemed very tempting on the menu card priced at some 150 odd rupees turned out to be a paneer pakoda with some carrot !!! The biryani just transformed into masala pulav..Masala pulav is coloured rice with no stuff contained to make it a biryani... The punjabi subji was without taste..Food is complete thumbs down...
I summarise...
Looks : Beautiful from outside..ooomphh location
Interiors : Interiors are just great
Food : Soups are OK, but the other food items are turn- offs
Service : Tik thak
Prices : On a higher side compared to comparable restaurants in nearby areas
Anyway, the restaurant serves Punjabi, South India, Moghlai & Chinese cuisine...
Next time, I would rather stay out at talaopali & enjoy the beautiful hotel from outside...
