The wilderness of Nature

Nanda Devi National park is known for its wilderness. It situated on a high altitude that makes it difficult to explore, surrounded by highest range of Himalyas such as second highest peak of India Nanda Devi(7815m) and glaciers. It is the place of very rare species of mammals and fora and fauna. Due to its unparalleled geographical demography, in 1982 it declared as the UNESCO world Heritage biosphere.


How to reach here- Nanda Devi National Park is accessible form March to October and best time to visit here from Jun to September. First you have to reach Josimath from Haridwar by bus which is 270 km far from Haridwar then you have to exchange a bus or jeep from Josimath to Lata village which is 30 km from Josimath.


But before exploring this pleasing nature you have to pass medical test because it is a high altitude place and only four person group is allowed with a guide to visit this park in a day.


Mammals - It is a habitual place of Musk Deer( which is state animal of Uttrakhand), Himalyan tiger and bear.


Birds- Monal which is state bird of Uttrakhand is only exist in this biosphere.


Flora Fauna - Braham Kamal(state flower of Uttrakhand) is a species which only exists on the height of 4000 meter.


It is a dense place but also a beautiful place to visit.
