Nandankanan Zoological park is situated in Bhubaneswar, odisha. It is the only one zoological park in the state of odisha. The zoo is 400 hectare(990 acre) and also a botanical garden. It was established in 1960. It was opened to public in 1979. And it is the first zoo in India to join World Association of Zoos and Aquarium(WAZA) in the year 2009.
ZOO BEFORE SOME 5 YEARS AGO.
Earlier there are several type of animal and birds were lived. And too many reptiles were also there. It was very much interesting to enjoy the place. And we can find several different variety of animal and birds from different countries. For children it was a very good and much more learning place. Children can able to see and know about the extinct and endangoured animals and birds.

It is very sad to tell you that now a days why the animal are dying day by day. There are not many animals lived now. most of the animal were dying without any reason. Recently a white tiger was died and a zebra was also died in past two to three month. The reason behind it still no body knows. All the forest department officer are searching for the reason.
