Napster now is not a brand name, its a technology and technology can’t die!!
For people like us, who are music lovers but can`t afford to buy those costly CDs, Napster was a very good companion. I am using ’’was’’ because as per the court ruling Napster has to shut down its services. Even if it doesnt shut, it has to switch to some other mode or may be charge the user but then it wont be the good `ol napster we knew and used.
I remember buying a comp and one of my reasons (ofcos besides others) was to listen to music and for that I knew I had napster with me. I have tons of songs on my harddisk and I am kinda addicted to it now. Whenever one suggests me a new good song, I jus need to open napster and download it. How convenient and how cheap!!
But life is not fair and people have bought NApster to court and are gonna shut it. They have their reasons (which are good too) but dang! who cares for reason. I love napster and I want it back!!
I have actively followed the court proceedings and the situation seems bleak now. But we have some consolation, in the form that if napster goes there are several others as backing to it. I told u u cant stop people! The others may not be as good as it but they are there atleast. Aimster is one example. WinMX is another.
I know as well as they that they cant stop this technology so why bother Napster? If its not him then it will be others.
I sincerely wished though that napster remained because rest of them are not even close to it in search and other options and their database is alos not that strong.
NEways, Napster is working today but who knows tommorrow it may not. SO chear up and get ready to compromise music lovers, they cant stop us.
