Obstetrics and gynaecology
I am a pregnant women seeking medical advice from Dr.Anuradha kannan for the past 5months. Really I am fed up with the hospital for many reasons especially with the administration department(doctor secretary). I do not have any problem or complaint with the doctor. The main idea of getting appointment is to meet the doctor without waiting for long hours by compromising our daily routines.
For every check up I get appointment and even after getting appointment I have to wait for 3-4hrs to meet the doctor. Some times we have to spend our whole day to meet the doctor just for 15 min consultation . Think about the condition of pregnant women who cannot sit in the same place for hours together . I fixed an appointment on 02/03/11 at 12.30pm but I could not meet the doctor until 4pm.
When I asked about the reason for the delay , doctor secretary informed me that there are 10 more patients who have to be attended before my turn comes. It seems those 10 patients had fixed appointment in the morning slots but not attended till 4pm.When I requested with secretary to meet the doctor for 5mins they refused to allow me in spite of giddiness and there were no one to take care of me.Thinking about the time that would take before I meet the doctor I left the place because of giddiness and suffocation .Even though secretary know about the delay they do not have the courtesy to inform the postponement of the scheduled appointment through telephone.
This clearly shows the poor administrative service rendered by Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital.My question is that why administrative people have to take many appointments which they could not handle in a day which puts more pressures on doctor to deal with patients .
conclusion: If a pregnant women wants to suffer with their growing baby they can go and consult doctor in Narayana Hrudayalaya . There will be no one to help even if u fall in giddiness or whatever it is.
