Nashik-The Pilgrimage City

As we all know that India is very religious country. There are number of places in India famous for its pilgrimage site such as Varanasi, Rishikesh, Tirupati Balaji, Shirdi, Shanishingnapur, Nashik many others. I have visited some of the places but I am very lucky that I live I city of Nashik. Nashik city is very religious city in India. There are several pilgrimage sites like Triambkeshwar, Panchavati, Sita Gufa, Vani temple and many others. Nashik is one of the four cities where world’s largest gathering The Kumbh Mela takes place. Other three cities are Allahabad, Ujjain and Haridwar. This gathering happens after every 12 years. Last year in 2015, the Kumbh Mela takes place in Nashik. Lacs of people gathered in Nashik to take a bath in pilgrim river Godavari. This bath is popularly known as Mahasnan in India. People from all over India and also from world come here to see the biggest gathering of people in world. Many foreigners visit Nashik to know the Indian culture and enjoy the Kumbh Mela. For the days of Kumbh Mela, many facilities are provided all over the city like water supply, toilets, parking facility and other important things. Roads are newly constructed for Kumbh Mela. So that it will easy for transportation. Nashik is jeweled with various mountain lines and the Godavari river.There are number of pilgrim places like Panchavati, Triambkeshwar, Vani temple, Sita gufa and many others. Number of people from all over the India visit nashik for seeing this amazing places. Other places that are also famous in Nashik are Muktidham, Temple hill, Sula Vineyards, College Road, etc. Now I’ll tell about every place in detail. Panchavati is famous for Ram temple, Ram Kund, Kalaram temple, Sita Gufa and many small and big temples. It is the place where Kumbh Mela takes place. It is situated in the centre of the Nashik city. There are several options available from Nashik Road railway station to reach Panchavati like buses, taxis and auto rickshaw as well. Buses are available readily for Panchavati adn this is the most cheap way of reaching Panchavati. Panchavati is always filled with number of devotees. People come here to take bath in famous RamKund. I visited Panchavati several times because it is very near from home. Triambkeshwar is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India. It is famous for very popular Shivalinga temple. Numerous amount of people gathered here to see the Shivalinga. It is also a place where Kumbh Mela’s Mahasnan takes place. It is the place where Godavari river starts. So it makes this place more popular. It is just 22 kms away from Nashikroad railway station. Buses are available from railway station to CBS ( central bus stand ) and from there you can take a bus for Triambkeshwar. And direct buses are also available from Railway station. You can easily reach there by using bus and other transport mediums. Vani temple is another famous temple of Nashik. It is the temple of Saptshringi Mata. It is located about 64 kms from Nashik road railway station. Buses are directly available from station. The temple is situated on the mountain. You can use your vehicle to reach there. The roads are very in very good condition. So this is all about the most famous places of Nashik. The weather of Nashik is cool all over the year. The Nashik is famous for Grapes all over the world. It is largest producer of grapes in world. This grapes are transported all over the world as it is very famous. As it is the largest producer of grapes, so Nashik is also producer Vine. There are number of very famous Vineyards like Sula Vineyards and many others. The Sula festival is also one of the most famous festival of Nashik. So to know and experience the Nashik, must visit Nashik at least once. You will surely get happy after visiting this amazing city full of joy, entertainment, and number of temples. You will love the place and enjoy the never changing pleasant atmosphere of Nashik. THANK YOU
