NIT Durgapur is one of the best NITs in India.This is a prestigious institute among all the technical institute.Now NITD upgrade its level in last few years.Basically you have appear in jee main to take admission in NITD.As a student of this college I want to share some experience.
1.ADMISSION: You have gat a good score and rank to get admission.There is a long process to get admission.Mainly the counselling is all india basis and you have to fight with them to get admission.But for home state students there is a extra relaxsation.There are 7 counselling and one special counselling.
2.COURSES: There are several courses available here like B.TECH , M.TECH, integrated course, M.SC, PHD, MBA etc.
But among these B.TECH is the main focus of this institute. The popular branchs like CSE, IT, ECE, EE, ME, BT, CHE, CIVIL etc . Placement are up to the mark.Along with study other cocuryculam activity also there like games, dance, singing, robotics etc,
3.CLUBS: There are so many clubs like CCA, EDC, SAE, MNTC, PRAKITI, BMEP, RECURSION, ENTERACT etc.But among them CCA is very big club which regulate AARAHAN FEST.
4.FEST: Thete also famous fest like AARAHAN, AVISHKAR is also fabulous
5.CAMPUS: The campus is very big and well decorated.Its academic blocks are very good.there are so many hall.Hall1 to hall 14.currently we are living at hall3.The most beautiful hall is hall 14. Whis is made eecently.
Other than this there is a SAC( students activity centre) .Two big fields Ovul and loards.
6.PLACEMENT: As I told you before that this NIT is one of the best NIT.So no soubt placement is very good.The companies like Google, microsoft, imfosys, etc are use to come.
Most of the strength are used to placed every year.
Other than this there is a central library.which I like most.very big library and free wi fi is availabe.Study room is also fantastic.you can issue books for six months.
