Probably its just personal, but I am unhappy with the kind of service National motors(NM) has provided. I was carried away by the sweet talk of the salesman who promised me their services even after I bought the car from them...But, sorry to say that they have failed miserably. I was promised a regular service of my car before the delivery, which I later found was not done (except for some extra polishing).
Unfortunately, my car seemed to have a problem after having driven around 500 kms. Believe me, I was given enough reasons not to get the car back for their service and after I was promised a date ( 2 weeks later) the concerned person was on leave that week (the same person who gave me the date).
Fine, had a list of issues to check for and gave the "at the moment" mechanic the list of issues(written) to check. I was again promised that all the issues will be taken care of. When I went to collect the car the next day, except for one of the issues, the rest were not touched upon. On just asking the mechanic to
check for the engine oil atleast, I was told that the car could be driven for another 1000 kms...(ideally if it was serviced as promised...i should have been able to drive atleast for another 5000 kms...).
And the misery does not end here…Agreed to get the car back some other day when the main mechanic would be available…the car was as dirty as it could get. The person said it would be no big deal to “just clean” it and it would all be gone…but believe me, the last weekend I began cleaning the car and it did not just take time but all of my energy to clean the spots on the exterior of my car…(never had cursed anyone so much in my life as I did NM that day)…and all this on a weekend when the BWSSB also planned to give their
pipes some rest.
And another thing that shocked me was that the same salesman who promised me all of their services after the car was bought, also mentioned that he could not do anything “once the car is sold”…
Moral of the story:
Don’t just get carried away by the gleaming beauties showcased…looks can be deceiving. IF ever you plan to buy a car from NM, buy it and get it serviced from outside(if possible deduct this amount from the final price when you take it to your mechanic to check for its road worthiness). Also save some leaves …you may have to take endless number of days off to just get the work done.
If ever you succeed to give it for repairs after you’ve bought it, ask them to return it cleaned both interiors and exterior. The best option is to find a reliable person selling the car directly (without such intermediaries, look on the net @, https://carwale.com, Free Ads (atleast 10
issues) …) for all these guys belong to the same tribe.
At NM, customer is no king. Final verdict – would not recommend anyone to NM, especially after the way my “beauty” was treated.
