Like many others I was also a little apprehensive about posting my complete profile at naukri.com given the fact that online job portals did not really fetch me much when I was a fresher out of college. In fact, it attracted many fake people and companies approaching me to con me. Luckily for me, I was made well aware of it by my father in particular. Besides, even naukri.com mentions on their website that no company including naukri ever asks for any monetary deposits for jobs or any application process. Now, when I had gained a little experience, I am getting interview calls and notices about any jobs that suited my profile. So what is saying is that this kind of portals works absolutely best when you have gained some considerable experience. It is absolute waste for freshers though.
But also remember that the interview calls are not from tier 1 companies but from local companies offering salaries around 2-6 lakhs maximum. Big fat companies may pick up your profile here, but then they have their own job portals where you would need to apply for the job. Website design, usability is pretty much the same across all the portals these days. App is a little slow and not User friendly and often has some mismatches. And as all job portals, they do have paid premium service. Simply means nothing to me because recruiters do not really care if they see your profile and besides they have a look on many profiles and just the one which are premium or paid.
