I worked for top banks and companies for 15 years, then left and started my own business(including recruitment business). As such, I have used services of naukri.com on both sides(for finding a job as well as finding candidates for employers).
On both fronts, naukri.com is one of the best available tool. For jobseekers, it provides an opportunity to post CV free of cost. This database is now available to employers. As an employee, I have personally got jobs using this portal. Youngsters will not believe how much change has this jobsite brought. Earlier, we used to get CV typed and then used to send physical copies by post to different employers. All that hassles and cost is now saved using this site.
On the other side, employers(companies/consultants) get to access big pool of available candidates. Presently, naukri has over a crore of active candidates on its’ portal. Earlier, employers used to get CVs by post, used to read them and then contact candidates by post or landlines. All these things have changed dramatically.
So, I can say emphatically that technology(mobiles/laptops/internet) and jobsites like naukri have changed the job scenario drastically.
