It is in every possible way a waste of time. I have nothing against Naukrigulf but the recruiters. However, I can’t really say that naukrigulf is a holy cow. For about more than 18 months, I got no interview call for about 1000+ jobs I had applied. I wanted to give 100% of my efforts because usually the foreign companies do not just put out a job listing unless they need any. There are lot of things that I fail to understand. The only thing I know is my application is not selected for any job where the required experience was 1-3 years as opposed to mine of 4 years+now. I even applied for jobs where the salary offered was less than the one I would be getting and yet no call(to verify if the jobs were real!). I think that the companies or say the HR recruiters have some kind of understanding with the consultants over there and based on commission most of the candidates are just filled or the listing of job may also be just the marketing gimmick and there might not be any vacancy in the first place.
Again I have following issues with Naukrigulf which I think they should be taking the responsibility for. They do not take the onus of verifying if the position listed was filled or ever filled. If filled was it through naukri or some other source of recruitment. A little transparency is needed which naukrigulf fails completely to provide to its customers. Another thing that I blame the naukri is for not updating the job listings. If a job has been filled, why don’t you intimate the applicants and say that the position was filled by some person and give his details if possible.
