The NEWS channel NDTV India is a perfect example of how much biased India’s media has become today. Such a sub standard and biased channel should not be allowed to run on Indian Television.
Programs: NDTV cleverly misses many important events and their programs indulge in unnecessary debates. Be it the case of murder of Mr. Prashanth Pujary in Karnataka or Malda Riots. NDTV did not bother to show it at all. On the other hand it gave so many hours of coverage to Dadri case. Also giving more coverage to Delhi’s Odd-Even Rule than Chennai Floods is another example of how much this channel is irresponsible.
Anchors & Hosts: It seems like they have handpicked their anchors and News presenters as all of them seem to promote their own(leftist) ideology unknowingly all the time. Barkha Dutt and her peers are famous for this hypocrisy all over the nation.
One more thing I would like to mention is that NDTV’s coverage of any incident is very irresponsible. At the time of Mumbai 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, or at the time of Pathankot Attacks, they were broadcasting the location of security personnel carelessly which was used by the bosses of the terrorists to give them directions via satellite phones. Also at the time of Gujarat riots, they were broadcasting sensitive information which may have increased the violence further.
Overall this news channel is clearly avoidable.
