Would have been better If we would have stayed in a Dharmshala.
Before I say about our experience about ‘NEELAMS THE DHARMSHALA’ , will say please never got at this hotel even if someone send you there complimentary. We have been too many places in India and abroad but never have such bad experience in life; there was nothing which was good at this hotel.
We were there from 25th to 27th Jan 2010. We reached there at 1.30 pm thought we informed them that we will arrive at 12 even then we were ask to wait showing a sigh board saying check in time 2.00 pm, we have never seen staff of a hotel behaving like this for a hotel which charge 4000+, there behavior was like a cheap class hotel. That time we were offer up gradation to some other room but when we seen that room and the one we booked, the upgraded was worst then what we booked so we shown few more room and finely shifted to one room. Room floor was not properly cleaned and later on we found that washbasin tap was broken. When we went out in evening we informed them to repair the tap but when we came back nothing was done. At 12 in night they send someone and informed that this cannot be done now and will be repaired in morning. To our surprise at 1.00 am in night they call us and inform that tap cannot be repaired and Do u want to change room now? See how much they care about there customer.
Finally in morning we changed our room and that room was also shabby and not cleaned like first one. Oh we forgot to mention that in this hotel you have to get your drinking water yourself from cooler near every stair case. And in night people from rooms gather in lobby for their group activity irrespective of other guest in the hotel.
Morning when we went for breakfast (Included in room rent) Only thing manager was interested in was that you must be carrying a valid coupone, after that he is not concern if you get a table to seat on not and if you seat and only vacant table they are reserve table and they will shout at you to get up from there. We came to know from other people that they have fix menu for breakfast every day so if u r there for ¾ days you have to do almost same breakfast every day and that is tea, coffee, chana bhatura or puri, poha if you lucky to reach in first hours, bread and butter, nothing more. Infect we have to fight for table and also get jain breakfast (which was requested at time of booking) both day.
Now you can understand why in start we called it ‘NEELAMS THE DHARMSHALA’. We will also like to mention that staff at reception is non courteous, even when I was talking about my complain, manager was roaming around but was insensitive to come and talk to guest and left to his room.
