Neerja is one of the best movie in Indian cinema. This film is based on a true story. Sonam Kapoor played the character of Neerja Bhanot who saves the life of 359 passengers on a hijacked plane from Mumbai to Newyork via Karachi. She is an extremely principled girl with the most amazing characteristics. She had the presence of mind, the compassion, and the kindness to take care of other people. One of the best dialogue that really inspire me is when her father was telling her’ don’t let anyone kill your spirit’. She is the youngest daughter in the family and has two older brothers. She was abused by her husband over her dowry and inability to cook and clean. She eventually returned home for a modeling contract and then she joined Pan Am Airways as an air hostess. Terrorists hijack the plane from Mumbai’s airport and lands in Karachi. Three American pilots able to escape because of Neerja alerts them. The hijackers unable to find Americans as Neerja hides all Americans Passports. At the end Neerja opens the rear door to let the passengers escape, but she shot by the terrorists. Sonam Kapoor played this character very well. Salute to Neerja. Awesome Movie.
