Its so pissing to see a cricket match on this Television. I have been planning to write a review on this channel for quite some time and finally I go the time. Its 21st of February 14.42 IST and Saching ran himself out as an opening in the second over when the score is 10-1. All we know is Saching is out and I am seeing the 15th commercial on the channel.
Sachin is out and India is playing with a lean as lot of players are injured against the mighty south africans and I really want to listen to the commentators now. But I cant as Neo Sports media guys are on the big gold rush. Ads after Ads. Cars, Insurance companies, Health drinks, Television, Hair care, cosmetics.. Its such annoying to these and given a chance I would never even buy these products. The BCCI has enough money and it should turn at professional sports channels like Start Sports, Ten Sports, ESPN, Set Max etc to broadcast these matches and not Nimbus. They are a big pain and I have just switched off my TV and planning to follow this on Cricinfo.. In the UK, where I have lived for a short period, we pay for all channels directly and they are telecasted without advertisement breaks. I am not sure if this will become a reality in our country but if it comes, I will be one of the initial pickers of these services.
Also we all have started adapting to these things and acceptance is at its best. Some may crib during the match and others like me would turn off and write some reviews. However if the agencices like BCCI and Nimbus dont realize they are making a merry of all viewers, this will not be changed. I am only banking on the Direct to home paid services bypassing these distributors.
I only pray that such direct to home services bypassing distribution should not be sstopped and if that happens and it goes to the cour of law for negotiations, we have to continue seeing thse commericals of dishwashers, consumer durables, automobiles followed by a 4 ball over
