A lot of hope pinned in when the STOUT lady of NPT Chennai inspired us with the sweet words, about NEPAL and in particular their arrangements - AC bus, Southindian Food, Delux hotel stay, comfortable Darshan.
All went wrong when we made it to Kathmandu this year(2010) in September. We were dumped into a non-AC mini bus to travel to POKHARA. The next morning 60 passengers were ready to fly to JOMSOM for further travel to MUKTHINATH. But we found that NPT had not made any prior reservations and were bargaining for tickets with each airline. People were sent in batch of 2, 4, 6, 8 and at last we were 10 left out in the airport, when they announced that no further flights shall fly for the day. We were made to wait in the hot sun for nearly 2 hours to understand this.
The next day no one from NPT took the initiative of booking tickets (we were able to see them sit and relax in the hotel reception). Only few hours later, we were able to understand that a senior passenger who had flown to Jomsom had experienced and that there was utter confusion with the passengers as there was no one to lead them to the temple. Holding their life, everyone returned without making it to Mukthinath.
The food quality and quantity was .... utterly bad. The deluxe hotels, doesn’t have latches on the doors, with just a 40W bulb for the entire room, paint tins as buckets in bath room.. hand less taps... OVER AND ABOVE THIS ... the commanding lady (who was supposed to travel with us and organize things).........who shouts and threatens you often ... did not turn up till the end of journey.
In simple .... DO NOT PREFER NEPAL PILGRIM TRAVEL , may be a few hundreds lesser than competitors.... but will land in lot of disappointment.
Spending a huge amount to travel to a DIVYA DESAM and returning in failure is unbearable.
