Update: Den Bosch

It feels great to write an update on Den Bosch, Netherlands. This write up is meant to help those people staying at Den Bosch or planning to do so in the near future. This will also serve as a guide for those Indians who plan to stay at places near to de Bosch (Vught, Eindhoven, etc).

I work at Essent Office at Statenlaan 8. People at Den Bosch will surely recognize it at first go. Well my office is just behind the train station(Den Bosch centraal). When I came to Den Bosch, I checked in a Hotel at petalaapark (Movenpick Hotel). Its one of the best hotels at Den Bosch (A swiss hotel). The hotel has friendl ambience and a nice Spa(free of cost). Done dare to go o weekdays sometime in the afternoon.. u might be caught unawares at the natural scenic beauty u find there…

Den bosch is not for veggies frankly with almost nothing to eat. What u get in the name of veg food is nothing but mushrooms and cabbage leafs with vinegar and sausage.. man u cant eat that daily rht??

And ya never try “Smoked Duck”…. It will smoke ur intestines.. so avoid experimenting with food once u r in Netherlands.

Here is a list of hotels at den Bosch, which one can try his/her hands upon:

  1. Movenpick: Swiss hotel, nice , friendly, but a bit costly

  2. Hotel Centraal(Golden Tulip)-: Very formal, good for a stay of 1-2 days, Expensive

  3. Hotel Terminus: Near to Station, very nominally priced, nice irish pub, somewhat savage

  4. Hotel Euro: Nice, moderate priced , friendly

  5. Bark Hotel: moderately priced, small, friendly, nice food(nice options for vegetarians)

Well currently I am staying at Bark Hotel..it’s a small, moderately priced hotel with minimal facilities. One good thing about this hotel is that its near s-Hertogenbosh oost station which is 2 mins ride to den bosch centraal st. Secondly the staff is friendly and don to earth. It’s the best option for those Indians who wanna stay longer at this place and have good food(touching Indian taste). Secondly seeing the number of Indians arriving at this place for work (Mostly from Sapient Bangalore), I feel Bark hotel will be the best option.
