When my husband and I were dating, but living together, we had very little money to be throwing around. But, because he was in college, having the internet at home was very important. We found out about NetZero through a friend of ours. He told us that he got 40 hours per month for free, and the only thing he had to live with were some banners across the top of the screen. So, we thought this was quite a deal! Well, in the meantime, NetZero changed their policy from getting 40 hours/month to getting 10 hours/month. By that time, we had more money, so we went ahead and switched to a cheap unlimited usage dial up service. But, I still have no complaints about NetZero. Getting logged on was quick and easy. And the banner ads didnt bother me...as a matter of fact, sometimes I found things on the ad that I wanted to look in to. NetZero never crashed on me. So, if you dont want to spend a lot of money on internet service, and 10 hours/month is good enough for you, I highly recommend NetZero. NetZero also offers plans that you have to pay for, but I never really looked into them. However the advertisements for these plans said things like no banners, more time on the internet.
