Drew Pulls Out Another Winner

’’Never Been Kissed’’ is a lovely lovely film. It didn’t do a great deal at the box office which surprises me, because if you give this film a chance, it’s very very funny and as romantic as hell! I’ve yet to find a bloke who’s seen it that didn’t like it, and all my female friends love it!

’’Never Been Kissed’’ follows Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore), a copywriter for the New York Sun Times who gets to be a ’’real’’ reporter by going undercover. Unfortunately for Josie, her assignment mean she has to go back to high school, as a student! Although excited at first, the grim reality sets in...she wasn’t a popular kid the first time round and has no clue as to how to be popular this time! We are treated to flashbacks of Josie’s real school experience and how excruiatingly awful it was for the 16 year old ’’Josie Grossie’’.

In the plot that unfolds, Josie feels a real attraction to her english teacher, but he sees her as a student even though they are really the same age. But it’s the last ten minutes that make this film so fantastic. I’m not going to ruin it for you, I never do and never will, but, oh my God, it’s a real toe curler, and keep some tissues close by!
