Indian souls in American soil

I have finished off the first season of and really loved this teen high school drama. It’s really good to see an Indian girl got the lead role in this web series and you will get to know a few customs and traditions of your India.

The story is about an overachiever Indian girl named Devi Vishwakumar, aimed to explore her life in high school. She, with her two other besties, planned a series of events that ultimately end up on getting laid down with any boy. Devi had a crush on Paxton, the most handsome boy in her school, and had a desire to have sex with him. She shamelessly going behind him all the time to strike a conversation even when he doesn’t look interested. She is a kind of a rebel in her home and you will witness many squabbles with her mother.

Devi was very attached to her father. His sudden death put a great impact on her and she became her feet paralyzed, for complete one year she was in a wheelchair.

The last episode is very touching and emotional especially the part where Devi reunites with her family and her mother chants the Shloka from Bhagavad Gita and they all gave her father their last goodbyes.

You will also find some interesting side stories of her besties, school rival, and about her crush, Paxton.

In the end, there is a twist in the plot, it really shocked me so to know that you have to watch it till the end. I’m really waiting for the next season to arrive as soon as possible.
