With this review of mine, I would like to draw immediate attention of the concerned authorities, DAIL-GMR-Govt., towards the pathetic infrastructure facilities at the Delhi Domestic Airport.I am a frequent visitor to this airport and faced many problems as an individual.
To begin with, the entrance to the airport terminal is very narrow and crowded most of the times.No smooth entry and exit at the terminals.On reaching the arrival/departure terminal one could easily make out the chaos everywhere.The arrival area is full of taxi drivers bothering the innocent passengers and that also in the presence of police/security personal.
Parking facility is insufficient and lacks any planning and management from the concerned authorities.On entering the authorized parking area one could easily make out that it is left unattended and is at the mercy of tour operators and their careless and rash drivers.Vehicles are parked everywhere and anywhere without bothering about the inconvenience it will cause to the innocent people.No one is directing the flow and arrangement of parking inside the facility.Due to careless drivers, this place is accident prone and not at all safe for your vehicles.
I was present at the airport during last 2-3 days and observed that its extremely difficult to park your car and leave it unattended, because it is highly likely that some careless driver would hit your vehicle and disappear.I saw 2 accidents right inside the parking lot.In one case today, I was at the receiving end when my vehicle was hit by a speeding taxi driver, right inside the parking lot.My car’s front bumper, head light, side got damaged and there was no help / assistance available.
Could the concerned authorities GMR, DAIL, Govt.tell me that how long we, the people, have to suffer like this?How much more time you require to provide better facilities esp.parking to the commuters? What is the temporary arrangement which you are making so that innocent commuters find it safe and convenient to park their vehicles at the airport?Why don’t you deploy more workforce at the parking area to conduct smooth parking, flow of traffic?When you are charging Rs.60 per vehicle as parking charges, why are you not providing the services to the commuter?Why is it free-for-all there?
I WANT ANSWERS???
