Punjabi dishes

I went to Neelam about 1 yr ago with my dad. I am a resident of 2 countries, so, I get the pleasure of trying dishes from both cultures. But my favorite is Indian.

It was late at night and Dad and I were returning from some work we had to get done. So, we stopped by Neelam to eat. To my surprise, the place was packed. There wasn’t much room to moonover but environment seemed to be good.

Since, I had not been there for long time, I wasn’t sure what to order and my Dad never orders anyways. So, it was up to me to place the order so, I asked our server for the specials and we got soup, malai kofta, paneer makhani, bhindi masala and chana masala ofcourse with naan and rice. Yeah! that was alot of food for two but it was really good. I do not believe in wasting food, so, I just got it to go and ate some later. Besides, if you are in a place like India for a few days, wouldn’t you want to try out everything not worring about money? And part of that had to do with me being very hungry. You know what they say, ’’Eat before you order or you tend to order for 50’’. Anyways, apart of this delemma, the food was really good and the service was excellent.

There were two things that I noticed and was a little disturbed, other than food being expensive, the place was cramped and the bathroom stinked.   Seemed like they never cleaned it.

But overall, I liked the place and would like to go again. And I must say, being as sensitive as my health is to eathing anywhere unrecommended, I did preety well with this food. Did not fall sick and so, I hope I get to go there again.
