I love NY...

Let’s start without dwelling into the history of NYC as most of reviewers already told you about it and more information easily available on Internet.

The city is best enjoyed in summer as winters are very cold.

Once again this review is based on my experiences and hopefully you will enjoy it.

When I came to USA, I used to stay in Connecticut little away from NYC, it was taking almost 45 minutes by train to travel to NYC from Greenwich, CT. I remembered travelling quiet often just to feel the crowd as I felt so alone in those suburbs. NYC reminds instantly of Bombay, let me say it is more cleaner and nicer version of Bombay and it is really lovable city.

In the heart of the city which is known as Midtown Manhattan just walking is fun. I would recommend visiting diamond bazaar at night, really looks glamorous with all shining diamonds on display. Walking on the broadway and around Times square is great fun at nights. There are neon lights all around. The perpendicular pattern of Avenues and streets very easy to understand and follow.

Places to go: There are number of attractions in this huge city. Which includes broadway shows, theatres, movies. I will narrate few which I have visited.

Empire State building: Now the only building ’’the tallest’’ in NYC is worth visiting on a clear day. It may cost around 14-15 bucks including Helecopter ride show which is worth enjoying.

Liberty Statue: I enjoyed it from outside but I personally do not think that one should wait in line for almost 3 hrs just to take the glimpse of Atlantic from statue itslef.

Ellies Island: You can enjoy it if you are interested in history. Nothing much to do there. Chelsey Piers: This is wonderful place and one should make a point to visit it. As I told you the most fun is in summer. Try to avoid winters.

Walk on the Brooklyn Bridge: I definately recommend this on a sunny day. It is really refreshing.

Promenade park: This historic park in Brooklyn heights is really another great place for bicycling or walking and it has spectacular view of lower Manhattan skyline.

Staten Island Ferry: The best free fun which NYC can offer is ride via this ferry. It is free, all you have to do is hop in. I would recommend that you should time it perfectly i.e. when you go towards Staten Island it should be almost evening so you can see during your ride wonderful lower Manhattan skyline on one end, Statue of Liberty on other end and long verizona bridge on 3rd end. When you come back it should be dark enough and now you can see all these structures lighted up and that is again a great visual experience.

Central Park: Another great choice in Summer and in spring and fall seasons. In Spring and fall seasons it is really colorful. Most of the time it is safe. NYC Public Library: This is great place to visit. The building is very good and very old and has very good collection of books and also has a museum about the history of library.

Safety:NYC is generally safe city but you have to be careful in certain areas like Bronx and Brooklyn particularly at nights. Transportation: Subway is the best way of moving around quickly. I would recommend buying unlimited day pass. Avoid taking car at any cost... you may end up paying hefty sum for parking.

Eating out: There are tons of places which is suitable to all pockets. There are many Indian restaurants which you will find easily while searching google.com. I would like to mention one particular one which is known as Sirtaaj, I think it is on the 26th st between 6th avenue and Broadway. Now this place is so ordinary looking, which reminds me of Rambharose hotel, but food is really tasty. As per owner most of orders are takeouts. Food is amazingly cheaper and surprizingly tasty. I have enjoyed best of restaurants in NYC but I think the food is just better here except couple of places in New Jersey. Overall, NYC is really fun city in summer, In winter it is great too but it is really cold. I love it.

Night life: This city never sleeps and has abundance of night activities suited to any taste or any wild imagination. Just search the google and you will find plenty of activities suited to your taste. There is a magazine k/a ’’timeout NY’’ and ’’the New Yorker’’ which enlist all different activities going in the city on arts and cultural front and also about night life.
