This is Srikant here. I stay in New Jersey which is very near to New York City, just 30 min by bus. It?s a very fabulous place to visit especially during the evening times and during the special occasions like American Independence day, New Year and thanksgiving. I have been to NYC many times and each time I get fascinated about being there.
The most visited area of NYC is Manhattan midtown with its high rise buildings. The current highest building is the Empire State building which is around 80 floors high and has arrangements to visit the observatory on the top floor which is worth watching on a clear sunny day.
Other attractions are the Ground Zero of the WTC, central park and its zoological garden, American museum of natural history. Manhattan is a very safe place to visit and roam even during late night hours, though some places like queens, Jackson heights and Brooklyn of nyc are dangerous to go out at night.

The Intrepid sea and air museum: Have the aircrafts from Second World War and other new fighter planes
Like to ride on waters then Staten Island Ferry and other private cruises which take visitors on a three hour cruise on the Hudson River of NYC.
EATERIES: there are many places with all kinds of foods at all prices to suit each ones pockets and capacity and from all countries and all regions of India.
NYC is also called as the ?THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS? as the city never really sleeps with people running around even at night working or just walking on the streets.
As I stay on the New Jersey side, the most fabulous that we get is the skyline of New York City?s main part Manhattan from across the Hudson River. It?s a very fabulous site with arrangements made to see the whole city skyline from NJ side.
For people coming to visit nyc: one needs to carry only two things: the MTA SUBWAY map and a book called I LOVE NEW YORK which gives all the places of visit and the places where u can dine, hotels etc?
BEST TIME TO VISIT: ANYTIME DURING THE SUMMER AND FALL(MAY TO NOVEMBER)
