New York City !

So, my mom got me my visa to New York in 2005, but sadly I couldn’t visit the place until 2008, because my relatives would always cajole me to visit them back in my hometown during my vacations.

It was the month of June and I was very.very excited to visit New York and other places, the advent of the holiday season always puts me in high spirits..And finally, the flight took off at sunup, we traveled to New York via London and stopped at Heathrow Airport for an hour or two-the weather in London was crazy and I hate cold !

Our aircraft landed at Kennedy Airport-the weather was amazing at 26 degree Celsius. I went there with my mom.She is an airhostess and so after the flight landed we headed straight to Le Parker Meridian Hotel where the Kuwait Airways crew stays during night stops. We slept and then went out to explore New York.

We went to hotel Corton, a polished little restaurant that has a nice variety of steaks, drinks and desserts. We had a nice little meal there-I enjoyed it a lot, especially because it’s the first place I visited there. And after that...it was time for some shopping ! I just love shopping....!!!! I love sunglasses and so we went to Ilori-It was a shop displayed some of my favourite luxury lines including niche brands like Derek Lam and Proenza Schouler.I bought 5 sunglasses from there.

And then, we went to see the Statue of Liberty. It was very beautiful-there was something in that statue that made me fix my gaze on it for quite a long time...probably because I had heard about it a plethora of times and saw it for the first time in my life. We visited the Empire State Building the next day-I could spend my time in NY looking at the skyscrapers but, a trip to the top of the Empire State Building gave me a chance to gaze down upon New York City. The views of the city from the Empire State Building are amazing, particularly at night.

We also paid a visit to the American Museum of Natural History-it was full with its unforgettable frontage stratum withscience knowledge and wonder. The museum was an eye opener for curious minds like me. Our next visit was to the Rockefeller Center-Rockefeller Centerhas amazing options for shopping and dining, whether you’re looking topurchase high-end goods or just grab a quick bite to eat.The highlightswere- Coach Crane & Co. Paper Makers, Kinokuniya Book store La, Maison Du Chocolat , Librairie De France, Metropolitan Museum Store, Tumi

And on the last day I wanted to shop for a lot of things so we went to Old Navy...it is a big-city department store that carries only a single brand. Within the walls of its many super-sized locations, customers can find a dozen full wardrobes; from T-shirts to button-downs, jeans to slacks, parkasto shoes, belts to bags, hats and flip-flops; for adults, kids, babies, and moms-to-be.I bought about 15 t-shirts, skinny jeans and flip flops. That’s all about my visit to New York-the memories will always be with me for eternity, I can never forget this experience, it was beautiful.Looking forward to visiting Miami this year.:D
