Ace place

I am English and my husband is from Mumbai and he took me to this restaurant the first time I went to Mumbai, in 2002. So delighted was I with this eatery that I kept saying, please can we go back to New York New York ! The first time we went, it seemed that the clientele were predominantly male, but when we returned last November, I was pleased to see one or two females in there apart from myself. The singapore noodles are gorgeous as are the ’’lollipop’’ drumsticks. The beer is also wonderfully cold and large ! If I stayed in Bombay for much longer I would have needed two seats on the plane home to the UK.

I love the place. Very friendly staff, fun looking out on the junction seeing how many people can be balanced precariously on a scooter, and enjoying yummy food and cold beer with my gorgeous husband. What more can a woman want ? While I have put ambience and decor as poor, it’s only because the decor is spartan, but then for me that adds to the experience, so not necessarily a negative.

As it is mainly a drinking establishment with nibbles, it would not be kid friendly (thank goodness it’s nice to get away from them sometimes!)
