Taste of Europe!

It was a tired evening for me and I casually lounged towards the closest yet untried dinner place in my view - New Yorker’s!

What has slipped off my mind was tht it was a sunday evening! We had to wait for 15 mins as the place was bustling with people but the wait was worth the food!

FOOD:

The original New Yorker’s nachos with cheese sauce is the first item on the menu and is sure the best item therein! There are these crisp nacho in a flat plate and hot yellow coloured cheese sauce is poured over them with garnishing of green capsicum. The sizzlers sounded rather neat and I decided to order for a Mexican Sizzler. It contained a fair share of rice, very well stir-fried vegetable in a tangy sauce, the usual cutlet and fries. However, was a little disappointed with its rather mini-serving. The sizzler base dish itself was smaller than the usual likes of Pop Tate’s and Kobe’s. A patron who swears by Pop Tates or Kobe’s may not be entirely in love with the sizzlers here, but is still worth a try - atleast for the stir-fried vegetables!

One could also savour the likes of various pastas, pizzas and enchiladas. Infact, you could get your own customized pasta made! Didn’t try out many of those...but u can surely look-out for my next review on the same once I go back to the place for all these and more :P

The sizzling brownie was as the dish itself is - fabulous. The brownie with its share of vanilla icecream and hot chocolate sauce made my evening!

PRICES :

The prices are average with a sizzler over some 180 bucks and an iced tea at some 70 bucks! The starters and side orders are between 80 - 120 bucks.

AMBIENCE :

Their branch at King’s circle is not very spacious however they have a two tier seating. I was taken upstairs and was little disappointed to see no sofa seats for two. Sofa seats could accomodate only groups. Although I cant really comment on the seating downstairs. A negative of the place which the restaurant owner can really look into was the placement of the toilet and the kitchen which was - adjoining! Yes! I found this out when I visited the rather squeezed single toilet (we had to wait in a queue!) with a broken soap dispenser and a hand dryer of ancient times. I dont think the hygiene aspect was much taken into account when this design was built. Wish we in India too had health-inspectors rating the restaurants and cancelling their permits!

The waiters, general ambience and music is decent.
