Ok, you may be thinking what my title means. Ill explain in short, simple language; IM IN A BAD MOOD!!!!!
So basically I cant bring up any humour, so this is going to be a non humerous, strictly information based review. Dont look for catchy one liners, funny jokes our even change in speech; because you wont find it!!!
Well, basically I hate it when people just go to London and say theyve seen all of England. There is more to England than just London!!!
London is indeed a beautiful place, but if youre ever thinking of staying in a city, but avoiding the terrible traffic, the hustlebustle of the crowd and the basic busy life, think about taking a trip to Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East of England.
It definitely doesnt get advertised that much as many think;
Well, if we have London, whats the point of mentioning Newcastle!?
There is a point.
Newcastle may be a city, but it is very different to London. It is a calm sort of a city, filled with metropolitan beauty. Just being there, you can sense the friendliness and the calmness of the community and scenery around you. It is partly a place for the elderly, where you can relax, however it isnt countryside; with lakes, hills, mountains and that stuff. You see people everywhere, but it isnt the hustlebustle of the crowd.
Newcastle is mainly a student area, due to both Newcastle and Northumbria University, which both offer an immense range of courses, and are high on the list of Universities. A wide range of Private and State Schools are also available so education is no problem. Because of all the students, I would definitely say Newcastle was a youth city.
Just check out Newcastle Town Centre(Eldon Square) and you will definitely be amazed. It is always streaming with young people, as well as sporting lots and lots of shops, both designers (French Connection, Ravel etc.) to your local stores.
The Quayside is also in Newcastle. I definitely recommend you check it out one night. This is basically packed with restaurants, bars, discos and nightclubs. You will find every sort of restaurant here (Lebanese, Chinese, Japanese, Nepalese etc. etc.) and all other sorts of delicacies. At night, the whole place lights up and is streaming with students.
The famous Millenium Bridge is also situated in Newcastle to honour the New Millenium. It is surrounded by 7 other bridges and is located on the River Tyne. It is a definite must-see.
Newcastle is a historical place as well, filled with old churches and in the Quayside you will find many buildings that have not been altered at all.
Newcastle is also very asian-friendly. A number of indian dance classes are run, both classical and bollywood and a range of classical instruments and singing are taught. There is a beautiful Hindu Temple situated here, along with many shops full of regular sabjis etc. etc. There is also a mithai store and a bollywood store. Newcastle is a very race friendly place.
Close by, I recommend you check out, Durham Cathedral, and the UKs largest shopping mall Metro Centre. The historic landmark Hadrians Wall is also not far. Tynemouths Coastal Bay is also to see.
Im sorry this has not been such a good review; ill try better next time.
