I am not a big fan of newport. I used to buy most of my newport apparel from the megamart stores which are basically company outlets. You can get cheap material there. It is nice and you really save a lot of money that your girl can spend on her shoes.

Newport made by Arvind Mills was originally supposed to be a cheap alternative to the 700-800 jenas that were available. I can still remember the 399 wala ad, where they had the smartness to bring out jeans and good jeans for 399.
The main problem was it didnt last long and soon, the fade was un even and you had to give it to your dhobi’s son or the dhobi himself, and feel good about it.
Now they make all kinds of kapdas ( do they make under garments??) . Mostly the kind of shirts they make are rugged kinds of stuff. They are known for khakis and that kind of stuff. Some of it is really good dekhne ke liye.But it is the quality that is compromised. It really isnt durable aur jaldi phat jaata hai.
I do not recommend New port to anyone. Stay away...
